Great stuff. I also subscribe to JT O'Donnell's channel. Just wondering what do the numbers mean in Jet 2 and Jet 3? Is it simply the direction, right and left? I noticed that all your left plays have the bubble at the 3 hole, whereas your right plays have the bubble at the 2 hole. Coincidence? I would think that the bubble would depend on the defensive alignment. For example, in your diagrams, the 1 technique defensive tackle is always over the 1 hole and the 3 technique tackle is over the 4 hole.

Yes. 2 to the right, 3 to the left. I don't even know where the term "jet" comes from. The side of the number is the side that blocks BOB/the side the back protects to, so that's where the "split" in the O-line protection always lies, because the back is inserting.

There are no universal holes in terms of gaps, so I wouldn't rely on "hole numbers." Some teams don't even use hole numbering anymore (the system I'm developing for my own use someday doesn't have numbered holes). Some use different variations of numbers. For example, Vince Lombardi's numbers were odds-right, and evens-left. Some do 0-9 left to right, or across the formation. When I was in high school for my first two years, our Wing-T system didn't have a 9 or 0 hole. Just 1-8.

I just enrolled in JT's new pass protection course. I'm guessing that I will be learning a lot more over the next few weeks! Hopefully, I'll find out more about names and numbers. Keep up the good work!

Very late reply, but how is/was it?

It was excellent. I don't think that you can find anything else like it. It costs money, but I sure learned a lot. Anyway, glad you are back from your disappearing act.:-)
